I guess I made over 10 trips to 4 different Michaels craft stores and Jo-Ann in less than a week! Dora joked that I worked for Michaels, and may be I should seriously consider applying for the part-time beading instructor post.
I decided to do the cover by myself (stamping & embossing) in Seattle while getting the card stock, and printing the insert on vellum paper in Hong Kong during my upcoming field trip in mid Jan.
This is what I have purchased in 2 week:
- 6 Magnolia Stamps from Magnolia-Licious Store. Bride and Groom stamps for covers, and the rest will be used for special cards for Best Man, Maid of Honor, Flower Girl and Ring Bearer.
- TONS of ribbons at Michaels
- VersaMark and VersaMarker Pen at Michaels
- 12" x 12" and 8.5" x 11" Card stock in different purple and ivory colors at Michaels
- Purple petals (to make the bridesmaid bouquets)
- 30-gauge florist wire (for bouquet making)
- Cuttlebug and D'vine Swirls A2 embossing folder. Man, I went to the 3rd Michaels to get this, from Bellevue to Kirkland, and finally got it in Everett.
- Glitter Tray (for recollecting embossing powder)
- Many items from Martha Stewart Crafts at Michaels:
- Double Hearts Punch Around The Page™ Set
- 4" x 6" Stamp Body
- Paper Trimmer
- Scoring Board
- Bone Folder
- Stamps Sanserif Font
- Heat Tool
- Dual Temperature Setting Glue Gun, Glue Stick (Low Temp) and Glue Stick (Hi Temp)
- Embossing Pad
- Glitter embossing powder in Sugar Cube and Sterling Silver
- Regular embossing powder - Essentials Set
